PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and stably feed power to a battery while avoiding the large deterioration of the performance of a capacitor by controlling the feed of power to the battery from the capacitor on the basis of a voltage of the capacitor.SOLUTION: An auxiliary charging device 100 includes a solar cell 110 which converts light energy to power, the capacitor 120 which accumulates the power converted by the solar cell 110, a booster circuit 130 which boosts the power accumulated in the capacitor 120, and lowers a current fed to the battery 102 from the capacitor to a value equal to or below a trickle charging current of the battery, a capacitor voltage measurement unit 122 which measures the voltage of the capacitor, and a power control unit 152 which turns on an output of the booster circuit so that the power accumulated in the capacitor is fed to the battery when the voltage of the capacitor 120 is equal to or higher than a first prescribed value. |
