The assembly has a shaft (30), and two gear wheels (10, 20) with hubs (11, 21), which include tooth paths (12, 22) and flanks (13, 23) arranged in such a manner that the flanks extend in axial directions outside the tooth paths. One of the gear wheels is firmly connected to an axial shaft section (31) by a tight fit (41) between a borehole (14) of one of the flanks (13) and the shaft. The other gear wheel is firmly connected within the shaft section by another tight fit (42) between another borehole (24) of the other flank and the former flank.
