Air (3) entering the blower or compressor passes a first row of stator blades (4) with air injection nozzles (11) at the blade roots on the stator housing (2). There is a first row of rotor blades (7) and a second row of stator blades (5) which may have air injection nozzles. There is an air bleed (13) in line with the last row of rotor blades (8). Air flows from the air bleed chamber through a filter (14), and a control valve (15) to a pipe (12) leading to the air injection nozzles. |
