PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system that allows an operating system (OS) to be installed simultaneously on each start-up disk of each computer without consuming network shared resources.SOLUTION: In the system, when an OS is installed on a selected one of computers 120a-120c, according to each program 108, 109 of a main storage device 101 started in response to an operation instruction by each section 105, 106, 107 of a management computer 100, master data of a selected OS installation disk 134a-134b is duplicated to a selected OS installation temporary storage disk 135a-135d as a start-up disk by a controller 131 in an external storage device 130. A computer is selected and started, after the disk is assigned to the computer and a selected one of start-up disks 133a-133e disposed in the external storage device 130 is assigned as an installation destination disk, to install the OS. |
