PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for adjusting image forming conditions so that density of a solid image, reproducibility of a thin line and toner scattering density to a non-image part are all proper even when the apparatus is installed under such environment that developability becomes high.SOLUTION: The density of the transferred solid image is measured (ST5), and at least one of electrification potential, exposure intensity and developing bias is adjusted in order to set the toner density within a proper range (ST10)(ST11). At such a time, when it is determined that developing voltage being a difference between potential of an exposure part and potential of a developing roll is less than a reference value, transfer efficiency is reduced by reducing the transfer voltage (ST12). The image forming conditions are controlled so that the density of the solid image may be proper in such a state that the transfer efficiency is reduced, and the reproducibility of the thin line and inhibition of fog are satisfactorily maintained. |
