PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently read out an electro-magnetically shared wireless tag, even in its stacked condition.SOLUTION: A radio-tag reading apparatus includes an electric-field reader antenna to transmit and receive a signal using the electro-magnetically shared wireless tag and the electric-field component of an electro-magnetic wave, and a magnetic-field reader antenna to transmit and receive the signal using the wireless tag and the magnetic-field component of the electro-magnetic waves. Further, the radio-tag reading apparatus has an inquiry unit which generates an inquiry signal to the wireless tag, outputs it to the electric-field reader antenna or the magnetic-field reader antenna, inputs a response signal from the wireless tag received through the electric-field or the magnetic-field reader antenna, and demodulates and decodes the response signal. The electric-field reader antenna is disposed to face its radio-emitting surface to a space in which a plurality of objects are stacked with the wireless tag objective to a readout mounted thereon. The magnetic-field reader antenna is disposed to face its radio-emitting surface to the space, and not to be directed at right angle with the antenna surface in each of the wireless tags which are mounted to a plurality of objects arranged in stack in the space. |
