PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of properly performing engine driving control in the next starting, by further accurately estimating a rotation angle position of a crankshaft when the engine is stopped.SOLUTION: The rotational direction of the crankshaft is discriminated, and while increasing a crank angle position CRP by a predetermined angle value DCR in normal rotation, the crank angle position is reduced by the predetermined angle value DCR in reverse rotation (S44-S46). When the rotational direction of the crankshaft is further reversed, the crank angle position CRP is corrected by taking into consideration a delay time required for discriminating the rotation direction (S49-S51). The crank angle position CRP when the engine is stopped is stored, and is applied to fuel injection control in the next starting. |
