PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fluorescence images comparable with normal color images.SOLUTION: In a diagnosis mode, a composite image is displayed on a monitor 80, in which the normal image, being a full color image, and the fluorescence image are superimposed by inserting a probe 15 being a scanning type endoscope into the forceps channel 10F of a video scope 10 and irradiating an observation target with excitation light in addition to white light. When a diagnosis region is set by an operator, an average value of luminance of the normal image and an average value of luminance of the fluorescence image are calculated for the diagnosis region, and a luminance ratio is calculated. An index (Z) is calculated on the basis of the luminance ratio, and the index is displayed on the monitor 80 or the like. |
