A means for coupling to the outside advancing/retracting ring is provided on the larger diameter portion. When the inside advancing/retracting ring is located furthest backward with respect to the cam ring in the direction of the optical axis, the rear end of the cylindrical portion of the inside advancing/retracting ring is caused to advance into the inside space of the larger diameter portion of the cam ring.
