APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING IMAGE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating images are provided to generate images by sampling the electromagnetic signals of narrow band frequency which is fed-back from a target. CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic signals of narrow band frequency are transmitted to an image target through a plurality of antennas(S301). The transmitted electromagnetic signals of the narrow band frequency are fed back from the target, and signals corresponding to the received narrow band frequency are sampled(S303). A compressive sensing technique is applied to the sampled signals in order to generate range bin values. Discrete Fourier transformation is applied to the range bin values in order to generate frequency bin values(S305). Radar signal of the frequency bin values is extracted. An image is generated through a beam forming using the extracted radar signal(S307).
