摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect light quantity made incident onto an object to be illuminated without increasing device size in an illumination device.SOLUTION: The illumination device includes: a transparent sealing substrate 214; a transparent illumination substrate 210 opposing to the sealing substrate 214; a light emitting element 211 disposed between the sealing substrate 214 and the illumination substrate 210 and emitting light toward the illumination substrate 210; a photodiode 212 disposed between the sealing substrate 214 and the illumination substrate 210, as overlapping the light emitting element 211 in a direction orthogonal to the illumination substrate 210, and outputting a detection signal of a level in accordance with the incident luminous energy from the illumination substrate 210; and a light-shielding layer 213 disposed between the light emitting element 211 and the photodiode 212, for covering the light emitting element 211 and blocking light incident from the light emitting element 211 to the photodiode 212.
