PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material capable of increasing the discharge capacity of a lithium secondary battery as compared with the case using conventional LiMnPOas a positive electrode active material.SOLUTION: This active material contains a crystallite of LiMnPO, and the size of the crystallite in a direction perpendicular to the (060) plane of the crystallite is 20-93 nm.
