PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a medium such as a payment document from being damaged due to erroneous setting or skewing by simple configurations.SOLUTION: This medium insertion section is provided with: a stage 42 formed at a medium insertion port into which a medium 90 is inserted from the outside, and having an upper face formed as a conveyance face 46 on which the medium is carried; and a guide section 50 installed at the both sides of the stage. The guide section is provided with a first section, second section and third section. The first section is formed at a user side, and the upper face is set so as to be made higher than the conveyance face. The second section is formed at the medium insertion port side with a level in difference from the first section. The upper face of the second section at the first section side is set so as to be higher than the upper face of the first section. Also, the upper face of the second section at the medium insertion port side is formed as a slope whose height is decreasing from the first section to the medium insertion port. The third section is formed at the upper side of the second section. The third section configures a return groove with the second section. |
