PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of inferring uncertain mismatching ontology regarding a specific query.SOLUTION: The method of inferring ontology includes: (a) a step of inputting an ontology and a query; (b) a step of selecting an element set related to the query from the ontology using a selection function; (c) a step of inspecting whether a query result can be inferred from the selected element set or not; and (d) a step of incrementing the degree of association of the selection function and repeating the steps (b) and (c) if the query result cannot be obtained, and of inputting a path for inferring corresponding to the query result if the query result can be obtained. The method further includes a step of calculating a certainty factor of each query result based on the confidence factor of an ontology element. Accordingly, a user can obtain as correct a query result as possible on the uncertain mismatching ontology without changing the original ontology. |
