PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an observation image which is free from distortion regardless of a temperature environment during endoscopic work.SOLUTION: In a scanning type endoscope apparatus, an SFE scanner 16 helically drives the distal end portion of an optical fiber and helically scans illumination light at a prescribed frame rate. An initial signal processing circuit 32 performs mapping processing on a set of pixel signals outputted from photosensors 26R, 26G, 26B, and then, a remapping circuit 34 performs remapping processing. In remapping, remapping data corresponding to an outside air temperature or a temperature of a distal end portion of a scope detected by a temperature sensor 54 and a temperature sensor of a temperature adjusting device 56 are selected, and a pixel conversion (a pixel position correction) is performed under the control by a system control circuit 40. In addition, remapping is performed only on a central region, and for the region of the peripheral parts other than the central region, image data generated by mapping are used as they are. |
