PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain tensioner which is suppressed in the generation of breakage and wear even if receiving a large force acting on a plunger, can constitute an oscillation cam by using an inexpensive material having high processability, and can reduce a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A chain tensioner 100 comprises an energization mechanism which energizes a plunger 120 slidably inserted into a plunger accommodation hole of a tensioner body 110 to a protruding direction. A plurality of oscillation cams 130 which are independently formed at the tension body 110 are arranged so as to be oscillatory, and each of a plurality of the oscillation cams 130 has at least one ratchet claw 131 which can be engaged with a lack tooth arranged at an external periphery of the plunger 120. |
