PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side rail of which the vertical directionality can be easily discriminated.SOLUTION: A side rail 1 is formed in a split ring shape including an abutment and combined with an annular spacer expander and forms a combination oil ring for internal combustion engine together with the spacer expander. The side rail comprises: an outer peripheral surface 14 that is directed radially outsides; an inner peripheral surface 13 that is directed radially insides; a first axial side face 11 that is directed to one side in an axial direction; and a second axial side face 12 that is directed to the other side in the axial direction and in parallel with the first axial side face 11. The outer peripheral surface 14 includes a chamfer part 30 between the outer peripheral surface and the second axial side face 12. The chamfer part 30 is formed from a tapered surface of which the diameter is gradually reduced towards the side of the second axial side face 12 while defining a position on the outer peripheral surface 14 axially separated from the first axial side face 11 to the second axial side face 12 by 0.05 mm or more as an origin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
