The agricultural device comprises a detection device (11) for non-contact detection of harvest swath, particularly height, breadth or contour of swath or soil potion. Multiple scanning sensors (12) have an evaluation unit (14) for determining harvest swath from the signals of the scanning sensor. A control device is provided for activating the scanning sensors, where the scanning signals are activated in time frames.
