The earthing switch (10) has a movable contact (12) moved from an open position to a closed position and vice versa. A fixed contact (11) and the movable contact comprise respective worn contacts (21, 28) made of electrically conductive material with high melting point. The worn contacts are designed and/or arranged such that foot points (33) are determined in identifiable areas of the worn contacts. The fixed contact comprises a leg (17) that is attached to the worn contact of the fixed contact.
