[Also in Group XXV] A securing device for mounting spring tines 1 formed with helical convolutions 2, particularly for swath -tumers and hay tedders, comprises a helically grooved holder 3 which is slotted to form clamping limbs 5 which bear against a preferably tubular carrier 8 and are forced apart when the holder is bolted to the carrier to grip the convolutions of the tine. As shown a spreader 9 serves as a nut and bears against inclined surfaces 7 of the holder. In a modification the spreader is omitted and the bolt 11 engages in a tapped hole in the holder.
