The bracket (10) has a strip-shaped front plate (12) with upper and lower catch elements (14, 16) for fixing the bracket on a line guide channel or cable channel. Two guide or attachment elements (20) are symmetrically arranged on an inner side of the front plate for receiving discrete side covers (22). The side covers are alternatively inserted in the guide or attachment elements for left-side or right-side closure of a cable channel section. A tapered guide or fixing bar (32) is arranged on a top end of the side covers.
