319,012. Nielsen, A. Sept. 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Heating by electricity. - In hot water storage apparatus comprising intercommunicating reservoirs A, B, the smaller of which is fitted with an electric heater K, hot water can be tapped from either reservoir and the upper part of the smaller one is fitted with a device C for preventing the entry of cold water when hot water is being tapped therefrom. Hot water is drawn from the reservoirs by means of a pipe G and a cock H. The inlet of cold water by the pipe J may be float controlled, or alternatively the hot water outlets are connected to a two-way cock and the reservoirs are tapped alternatively. A pipe D may be fitted over the valve C. In a modification, the reservoir B stands on the bottom of the reservoir A, and is fitted with a heater in the form of a plate. In a further modification the reservoir B is external to the reservoir A. The valve C may be replaced by a diaphragm having openings of adjustable size. '
