摘要 The present invention may be applied to a drive device, a travel device, and a drive device control method which are suitable for use in a robot arm and a twin cycle, for example. By eliminating (reducing) the opportunity of the use exceeding a rated torque of a servo motor, it is possible to increase the machine reliability and set an appropriate safety factor so as to reduce device costs. The operation value during the actual machine operation obtained by {(effective torque)2−(rated torque)2}*(elapsed time from start) is compared with a value based on the rated torque, and the system driving is stopped and/or an alarm is started.
