PURPOSE: A wireless access point device connecting with a mobile phone and a control method thereof are provided to allow plural computers to use wireless Internet conveniently by using a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A USB(Universal Serial Bus) connector(160) is connected to a USB terminal of an external portable terminal. The USB connector reads out and executes a control program when the USB connector is connected to the portable terminal. The control unit enables the connection with the wireless Internet through the portable terminal, and performs an internal access point function. The control unit transmits a WiFi signal to a computer through an antenna.
