PURPOSE: A light source current division apparatus and a method thereof for operating a video display in the complete cycle of an AC power source are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost and minimize an image display device in order to operate the LED. CONSTITUTION: A light source current division apparatus is composed of a power supply unit(100), a full-wave rectifier circuit(200), and an optical source unit(300). The power supply unit performs a function converting the power used in the optical source unit. A first distribution terminal and a second distribution terminal output the voltage used in the light source current distribution device using the current power source.
