The initiator has a printed circuit plate (7) with a heating resistive element (71) turned toward a pyrotechnic load (8). A part (23) of a base (2) is made of plastic material opaque to a laser beam (FL) of determined wave length of welding. Another part (92) of an electrically insulated plastic cap (9) is made of transparent plastic to the laser beam. The part of the cap is arranged to be traversed by the laser beam having the determined wave length of welding along direction to come across the part of the base to form a welding zone (11), where the zone welds the parts with each other.
