PURPOSE: A sound absorbing and insulating material for vehicles including expanded vermiculite is provided to ensure excellent fire retardant effect and soundproof effect and to enable emission of wavelengths activating the human body and anions. CONSTITUTION: A sound absorbing and insulating material for vehicles including expanded vermiculite comprises the steps of: putting water, thickener, fiber and strength reinforcement in a mixer and stirring the mixture for 2~3 hour; adding expanded vermiculite and one or two or more of charcoal, jade, yellow soil, and terra alba to the liquid-phase binder; injecting the mixture in a mold and compression-molding the mixture by a press; and drying the molded product using a drying furnace.
