A message informing method and device are provided. The method includes: receiving a handover indication message; acquiring indication information and new information from the handover indication message, so as to know the service station is not changed, needing no network handover; according to the new information, updating the content related to the new information. Through the method, handover flow is optimized, handover efficiency is improved, and network resources are saved.
