PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal fine particles where metal fine particles can be stably dispersed into a polar solvent, particularly, an environment-friendly water system solvent can be used as a dispersion, and further, sulfur and nitrogen are not comprised, and to provide a hydration reaction method and a reduction method between a catalyst using the same and an organic compound.SOLUTION: In the method for producing a metal fine particle, a diazonium salt expressed by formula (I) (wherein, Xrespectively independently denotes (CH)COOH or (CH)OH (n=0 to 3); and m denotes the integer of 1 to 5), and the group 9 or 10 transition metal compound are reacted in a polar solvent in the presence of a reducing agent so as to produce a metal fine particle having any interaction selected from covalent bonding and coordination bonding. |
