PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-chromate metal surface-treating agent which can form a film by drying or heating and is excellent in storage stability, corrosion resistance of a planar portion after alkaline degreasing and that of a processed portion after storage, top coat adhesiveness, heat resistance and electrical conductivity, and also to provide a surface-treated metal material and a method for treatment of a metal surface.SOLUTION: The metal surface-treating agent includes: a condensate compound which is prepared by condensing a silane coupling agent having epoxy and amino groups and which has the average condensation degree of 2-20, and a titanium coupling agent having two hydrolytic groups in the presence of an acid catalyst; and compounds of metals preferably selected from the group consisting of Mg, Al, Ti, V, Mn, Zn, Zr, Mo, W, La, Ce, Nb and Nd. |
