PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel guide robot which gather more persons and guide them to a destination.SOLUTION: The guide robot 10 is a humanoid robot having an anthropomorphic figure, which is disposed at an event or the like to provide a guide service for leading the persons to the destination. The guide robot 10 has a task setting means (62, 66, S1) and moves with its body direction facing backward when executing a guide task intended for many and unspecified persons. As the guide robot can move while facing backward, and accordingly, it can guide the persons while capturing their attentions. This makes it easy for irrelevant persons to join the line of guided persons, allowing the guide robot to gather more persons and guide them to the destination. |
