PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor wherein a permanent magnet can be stably fixed in a slot without bonding with an adhesive, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The motor includes a rotor provided therein with slots and having permanent magnets housed in the slots, and a stator having pole teeth opposed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotor. Each of the slots has such a shape that it is extended toward the outer circumference of the rotor and a distance between its opposite inside surfaces is reduced as it goes toward the outer circumference of the rotor radius. Each of the permanent magnets is moved toward the outer circumference of the rotor radius in a slot by a centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the rotor and it is clamped between the inside surfaces of the slot as the result of this movement and thereby fixed. |
