PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a substance exhibiting an inhibiting action on increase in POMC mRNA expression and to provide an inhibitor on the increase in POMC mRNA expression and a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for diseases caused by the increase in POMC mRNA expression, each comprising the substance as an effective ingredient.SOLUTION: The inhibitor on increase in POMC mRNA expression and the prophylactic and therapeutic agent for diseases caused by the increase in POMC mRNA expression comprise as effective ingredients one or two or more selected from among an extract of Nasturtium officinale, an extract of Panax ginseng, an extract of Swertia japonica and an extract of Mori Cortex. |
