PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength and high-corrosion resistance stainless steel by the composite addition of Ni and Cu, the balance therebetween, and their composite addition and the regulation of a Cr content and a C content, which is provided with strength equal to or above that of the conventional ferritic stainless steel, and further has excellent corrosion resistance as well.SOLUTION: The high-strength and high-corrosion resistance stainless steel has a composition comprising 0.005≤C≤0.020 mass%, 0.2≤Si≤1.0 mass%, 0.2≤Mn≤1.0 mass%, 1.0<Ni≤3.0 mass%, 20.0≤Cr≤23.0 mass%, 1.0<Cu≤3.0 mass%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities {wherein [I] expressed by [I]=[Cu]+[Ni] satisfies 2.5≤[I]≤5.0; [II] expressed by [II]=[Cu]/[Ni] satisfies 0.5≤[II]≤1.5; and [III] expressed by [III]=([Cu]+[Ni])×[Cr]/[C] satisfies 3,000≤[III]≤9,000 (wherein [M] denotes the mass% of the element M)}. |
