PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for the retort sterilization of a plastic container, which retort-sterilizes articles held in the plastic container efficiently and also performs a longitudinal load countermeasure effectively.SOLUTION: The method and the system are composed of the structure including a piling-up process for piling up a unit basket 210 having a predetermined height gap higher than the installation height of the plastic container 60, a container arrangement process for arranging a plurality of plastic containers 60 in the gap of the unit basket 210 by preparing the plurality of arranged plastic containers 60 and by putting the plurality of plastic containers 60 into the gap of the unit basket 210 in package, and a retort sterilization process for retort-sterilizing the articles held in the plurality of plastic containers 60, in which the plurality of plastic containers 60 are arranged, while conveying a basket body 200 formed with the piled-up predetermined number of the unit baskets 210 into retort sterilization devices 30a, 30b. |
