PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly suppress error in azimuth of a map displayed on a map display device.SOLUTION: In a mobile phone in which an electronic compass and a GPS receiver are mounted, the azimuth of a map displayed based on the azimuth information acquired by the electronic compass or the positional information acquired by a GPS reception module is controlled. At the start of map displaying process, azimuth is controlled with the azimuth information from the electronic compass; and when 60 seconds elapse from the start of map displaying process, with the additional condition that there is a movement by 100 meters from that time, the azimuth control is switched to one that is based on the positional information of GPS. |
