PURPOSE: A door control device and a method thereof are provided to reduce the burglar risk of a vehicle by enabling a user to open and close the door of a vehicle without using a separate mechanical key. CONSTITUTION: A manipulation part(100) outputs a signal by the manipulation of a user. A control part(200) generates an electromagnetic wave in a predetermined frequency band. A fob(300) outputs a pre-stored vehicle identification number by receiving the electromagnetic wave outputted from the control part when a battery is discharged. The control part compares the vehicle identification number that is outputted from the fob with a pre-stored vehicle number. The control part determines whether a door for a vehicle is locked. The control part unlocks the door for a vehicle by controlling a driving part(400).
