PURPOSE: A method of switching a coordinator point in a body area network is provided to replace a CP(Coordinator Point) by adopting the performance of another wireless communication device in real time. CONSTITUTION: A candidate CP transmits a CP switch request message to a primary CP(S410), and the primary CP transmits a CP switch response message to the candidate CP(S420). The candidate CP is in a standby state for a limit time(S430). The candidate CP transmits to body area network devices the CP switch announcement message for informing the role of the CP function(S440). The candidate CP performs the CP function of the CP with the primary CP or performs CP role as sub CP.
