PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating organic wastewater biologically which can be operated stably without consuming the oxygen to be produced specially so that a DO value in a biological treatment tank is not lowered and in which a measure to deal with bad smells can be taken easily, if necessary, even when ammonia is included as a decomposed component.SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating organic wastewater biologically includes: a decomposition system 5 in which the organic wastewater 2 containing hydrogen peroxide is introduced into a decomposition unit 4 to decompose the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen and exhaust the oxygen; a biological treatment system 12 which is separated from the decomposition system 5 and in which the organic wastewater 2 is introduced into a biological aeration tank 11 to treat the organic wastewater biologically; and a blower unit 21 for sucking the oxygen-based exhaust gas 6 from the decomposition unit 4 or the exhaust gas together with the outdoor air 7 and sending the sucked gas (and air) forcibly into the organic wastewater 2 to be supplied to the biological aeration tank to aerate the organic wastewater. |
