PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel on which a user can recognize an input button through tactile sense.SOLUTION: The touch panel 100 includes an upper substrate 120 and a lower substrate 110. The lower substrate 110 is disposed apart from the upper substrate 120 by a predetermined gap and has a user contact surface S. Furthermore, a plurality of drive electrodes 140 are formed on each of the upper substrate 120 and the lower substrate 110, and an electrorheological fluid 130 is filled in a gap between the upper substrate 120 and a lower substrate 110. When a drive voltage is applied to the whole or some combinations of the plurality of drive electrodes 140, an input button area having a predetermined pattern is delimited on the user contact surface S. When the thickness of the gap is reduced to a critical value or smaller as the input button area is pressed, the drive voltage is cut off. |
