PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imposition device or the like allowing determination of an imposition template allowing avoidance of occurrence of a ghost without sacrificing print quality, without depending on a skill level of a worker, and without needing a margin portion for generating a side space halftone.SOLUTION: The imposition device generates a plurality of imposition templates each for performing a layout of page data, by which the same product can be obtained, calculates pattern area rates of a plurality of belt areas formed by dividing a width direction of a print medium (e.g. a printer sheet or a printing film) in a plate at prescribed intervals based on the page data and the plurality of imposition templates, calculates a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of each pattern area rate of the plurality of belt areas in each imposition template, and determines the imposition template having the smallest difference among the imposition templates as the imposition template for obtaining the product. |
