PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for obtaining an excellent image, even when a high printing image continues.SOLUTION: A conveying member 13 and two stirring members 14 and 15 are provided in the housing 11 of a developing device 9. A guide 24 is provided in the inner bottom surface 27 of the housing 11 between the two stirring members 14 and 15. The guide 24 is like a mountain whose cross-section-shaped skirt part 26 orthogonal to the axial directions of the rotating shafts 14a and 15a of the stirring members 14 and 15 spreads out wide toward the end. The guide 24 is disposed so that a gap among the outermost part 23 of the respective two stirring members 14 and 15, the inner bottom surface 27 of the housing 11 and the guide 24 is ≥1.5 mm and ≤3 mm. The rotational directions of the two stirring members 14 and 15 are the same. The first stirring member 14 and the second stirring member 15 supply the developer, which is sufficiently stirred and electrified by the guide 24, to a developer carrier 12, so that even when a high printing image continues, an excellent image is obtained. |
