PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing apparatus for efficiently discharging air bubbles mixed into lubricating fluid to the outside.SOLUTION: The bearing apparatus includes a shaft 33, a thrust cup 32, and a rotating member. A second gap 52 provided between a lower surface of the rotating member and an upper surface of a circular portion 321 of the thrust cup 32 includes a first region connected to a tapered seal 55a and a second region positioned on the inner side of the first region in the radial direction and having a smaller gap than the first region in the axial direction. A lower end of a through-hole 415 is opened at the position radially separated toward the outside from the boundary between the first region and the second region. When the rotating member is rotated, lubricating oil 59 is locally circulated in the first region. Thus, the air bubbles moving from the lower end of the through-hole 415 to the first region are efficiently transferred toward the tapered seal 55a, and discharged from the liquid level of the lubricating oil 59 of the tapered seal 55a. |
