PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copper alloy having excellent strength and bending workability while maintaining the electric conductivity and stress relaxation resistance of a Cu-Cr-Zr based copper alloy, and to provide the copper alloy.SOLUTION: The method for producing a copper alloy includes: a melting step where copper (Cu), chromium (Cr) added to the copper, zirconium (Zr) and tin (Sn) are melted so as to cast a copper alloy stock; a hot working step where the copper alloy stock is hot-worked, so as to form a sheet material having a rolled structure; a heat treatment step where the sheet material is heat-treated; an intermediate rolling step where the heat-treated sheet material is subjected to cold rolling having a working degree of 80 to <90%, so as to form an intermediate sheet material; an aging treatment step where the intermediate sheet material is subjected to aging treatment; a finish rolling stage where the intermediate sheet material subjected to the aging treatment is subjected to cold rolling at a working degree of 20 to 40%; and a stress relief annealing step where the intermediate sheet material subjected to the cold rolling is subjected to heating treatment. |
