PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot for a constant velocity universal joint having excellent conveying property and excellent mountability on the constant velocity universal joint while a plurality of boots can be superposed in a compact manner, and a constant velocity universal joint using the boot.SOLUTION: The boot for the constant velocity universal joint comprises a large diameter part 11, a small diameter part 12, and a bellows part 13 provided between the large diameter part 11 and the small diameter part 12. In the bellows part 13, a plurality of ridge parts 14 and a plurality of valley parts 15 are connected to each other alternately via inclined parts 16. The minimum inside diameter of the large diameter part 11 is set to be the same as the outside diameter of the second ridge part 14 from the large diameter part 11, or larger than the outside diameter of the ridge part 14. The inside diameter of each valley part 15 is set to be the same as the outside diameter of the ridge part 14 on the smaller diameter side from the valley part 15 with an intervening one therebetween or larger than the outside diameter of the ridge part 14. The maximum outside diameter of the small diameter part 12 is set to be the same as the inside diameter of the first valley part 15 from the small diameter part 12 or smaller than the inside diameter of the valley part 15. |
