PURPOSE: A method and a device for managing advanced ARQ buffers in a wireless communication system are provided to accurately produce the non-used capacity of a receiver buffer by determining a block using an ARQ buffer. CONSTITUTION: The non-used capacity of a buffer of an ARQ receiver is determined. The buffer of the ARQ receiver determines whether to support an ARQ block to be transmitted based on the determined non-used capacity. The buffer of the ARQ receiver transmits the ARQ block to the ARQ receiver. The buffer of the ARQ buffer transmits the ARQ block to the ARQ receiver.
