PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument, favorably heightening backup force for maintaining the state of being introduced to an introduction target portion.SOLUTION: A guiding catheter 10 includes a catheter body 11 shaped like a tube. The catheter body 11 is extended from a tube base 21 through a proximal bent part 25 and a distal bent part 22 to a tip region 24 returning to the proximal side. The distal bent part 22 is formed like a U-shape to generate a distal end apex 23 of the guiding catheter 10 in the midway position. The proximal bent part 25 is formed so that the proximal end side is bent toward the above one side more than the distal bent part 22, and formed to bend the distal end apex 23 side toward the other side in the direction orthogonal to the direction pointing the above one side taking the extension L of the tube base 21 as a reference. |
