PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film for polarizing plate, which is excellent in transparency and mechanical strength even after stretching and prevents dimensional change even upon high temperature and high humidity.SOLUTION: The protective film for polarizing plate comprises a polyamide having a repeating unit represented by general formula (I) and a repeating unit represented by general formula (II), wherein A and B represent a substituent; (a) and b represent the number of the substitutions; and Ak1 and Ak2 represent alkylene.
