PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that improves the cleaning performance even for a long time use and has high image reproducibility.SOLUTION: In this image forming method, recessed shapes exist on the outermost surface of a photosensitive layer, the number of recesses is 40 or more and 40,000 or smaller per 100 μm square, and the average major axis diameter of the openings of the recesses is 0.5 μm or more and 15 μm or smaller. Toner includes at least toner particles having at least colorant and binder resin, and inorganic fine powder A. In the inorganic fine powder A, (1) number average particle size of sub-particles is 80 nm or more and 200 nm or smaller, (2) true density is 2.4 g/cmor more and 3.0 g/cmor smaller, (3) total energy TE is 2,000 mJ or more and 3,200 mJ or smaller, and (4) flow rate index FRI is 0.8 or more and 1.8 or smaller. |
