PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation unit for a roof facilitating construction work and preventing rainwater or bees from intruding into an attic.SOLUTION: The ventilation unit 10 for the roof is mounted to a sheathing roof board 31 of the roof to cover a vent hole 33 formed in the sheathing roof board, to ventilate the attic 34. The ventilation unit 10 includes a box-like body 11, and a first ventilation opening 22 is formed in the front face of the body. A second ventilation opening 23 communicating with the vent hole when mounting the ventilation unit 10 to the sheathing roof board is formed in a bottom face 21 of the body. An insect-proof wire net 13 is put on the first ventilation opening, and a first water cut-off plate 12 having a height exceeding a body upper face 11a is erected on the body bottom face so as to be located in front of the first ventilation opening. Air in the attic passes through the second ventilation opening communicating with the vent hole of the sheathing roof board, to flow into an internal space of the unit body to ventilate from the first ventilation port to the outside of the attic. Rainwater infiltrating into the back side of a roof tile 30 is intercepted by the first water cut-off plate and prevented from infiltrating into the body from the first ventilation opening, and the bees intruding into the attic can be prevented by the insect-proof wire net put on the first ventilation opening. |
